Medical Optometrist
Dr. Shannon N. Friedmeyer graduated from Ohio Northern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She received her Doctorate of Optometry degree from The University of Houston College of Optometry and went on to complete externships at the Albuquerque Veteran’s Administration Hospital and Fort Belvoir Community Hospital in Virginia.
Dr. Friedmeyer’s passion for providing quality eye care and patient education helps patients maintain good vision and ocular health throughout all stages of life. Since 2013, Dr. Friedmeyer has lived in Southern Maryland and practiced primary eye care with a special interest in pre- and post-operative refractive surgery care.
An Ohio native, Dr. Friedmeyer moved to Tucson, Arizona to be closer to family. She is an avid runner who also enjoys hiking, camping, watching football, and spending time with her husband and two children.
